Asset-based lending specialist, BZ, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hayden Macmillan as its new Structuring Director. BZ offers structured ABL facilities up to a £150m hold level that provide working capital and corporate structuring solutions to mid-market businesses.
Hayden joins BZ from Kroll (previously Duff & Phelps), where he spent the last twelve years in a corporate advisory role covering the whole spectrum of business sectors, spanning large corporates to SMEs. A qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), Hayden holds a First Class Honours Degree from Nottingham Business School.
At BZ, Hayden will be responsible for structuring facilities to support new deal origination as well as working closely with the client relationship team across the portfolio.
Commenting on his appointment, Hayden Macmillan, said: “I knew that coming to BZ would be an exciting move. Having spent most of my career focused on the ABL industry in an advisory capacity, I would definitely call BZ a ‘disruptor’, as the business is a real challenger to the more traditional asset-based lenders. A multitude of things attracted me to the company. The team is excellent and well-respected in the industry. BZ is very well placed for significant growth, with a strong commercial appetite to deliver substantial, non-vanilla deals. I look forward to being part of its journey.”
Kevin Yates, Managing Director – Risk, BZ, said: “Hayden is a valued addition to the BZ team as we drive our strategy to provide optimal levels of funding to businesses for large, complex, multi-jurisdictional deals. We had the benefit of getting to know Hayden during a secondment to our business and are delighted to be able to welcome him formally to BZ as Structuring Director. His first-class technical knowledge and advisory experience, together with his strong commercial acumen make him a real asset to BZ. Hayden will help our clients navigate the post-pandemic world with the confidence that they have the flexibility and headroom to achieve their ambitions.”
